The ADATA Ultimate SU900 was a solid-state drive in the 2.5" form factor, launched on December 13th, 2016, that is no longer in production. It was available in capacities ranging from 128 GB to 2 TB. This page reports specifications for the 256 GB variant. With the rest of the system, the ADATA Ultimate SU900 interfaces using a SATA 6 Gbps connection. The SSD controller is the SM2258H from Silicon Motion, a DRAM cache chip is available. ADATA has installed 32-layer MLC NAND flash on the Ultimate SU900, the flash chips are made by Micron. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are handled more quickly. The cache is sized at 50 GB. The Ultimate SU900 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s and 520 MB/s write; random IO reaches 80K IOPS for read and 90K for writes.
At its launch, the SSD was priced at 109 USD. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. ADATA guarantees an endurance rating of 200 TBW, a typical value for consumer SSDs.

Notes

Drive:

There is another variant with the Silicon Motion SM2258G which is basically the same controller but different package and contact pads (BGA).
The NAND Flash Bus operates between 533 MT/s ~ 667 MT/s,
Other Revision might come with Samsung DRAM Cache (K4B2G1646F-BYK0 - 256MB DDR3L-1600Mbps CL11)
Other revision might have 8 SDP (Single Die Packages):
Micron/SpecTek: FBNL06B256G1KDBABJ4-6AS (60076854 - Adata Rebranded)

NAND Die:

Program page without/with VPP: 1300μs/1225μs (TYP) (Max - 52 MB/s per each die)
