Agreed. Part of that longevity is also recognizing an individual's talents and if they are a good fit followed by setting them up for success. I love what I do, and he doesn't pressure me constantly sitting over my shoulder, if I got questions he answers and finds solutions if they are not within my abilities. While some would say that's obvious I can tell you working numerous jobs, industries, and what not as a hire on laborer (I've done demolition and renovations, diagnosed and helped people get their cars fixed found issues that were overlooked causing further problems, I run a live bait shop, work a Christmas tree farm, I have laid floors, been a mover, you name it and to certain degree I have likely done it as far as non-skilled work goes. The ability to see a person's strengths tailor to that strength on an individual level and then give them the freedom and trust to work things out their own way is an incredible rarity and is something W1zz certainly possesses. That alone is why I am still here after all this time. Sure I get grumpy sometimes with how things go but let's face it everyone feels that at different times. Still, I don't think I could survive in this industry without the man he's one of a kind to work for. That skill on top of his numerous other talents is why TPU thrives while others have fallen to obscurity over the years I can think of one site in particular that if they had recognized my talent things may have gone differently for them. Instead they didn't and here I am 11 to 12 years in at TPU.

Happy 20th TPU

Been here over 15 i think. Some good times had here with preivious members, overclocking, science mark compo fun, volt mods, lots i remember. We need to get the cameraderie back and lose the petty us v them anti Intel crap and make it fun again.

There's a few websites that i often check, it's this one, tomshardware, techspot, and the rest... Well...

Hardware news is not as populair as it was 15 years ago. Take http://www.xtremesystems.org/ for example - was one of the greatest imo.

Most existing tech can be put into the "good enough computing" category, and most new tech can be filed under "more of the same". The only really magnificent case of "not good enough" are batteries in general. About the only really magnificent cases of "more of the same" are (1) the power consumption, heat output, heat density, and handling of those, in the last 15 years. And (2), increasingly more intrusive techtubers to compensate for the lack of real news.

Don't watch general youtube for your technews. It's scrambled up to increase viewing time and left and right many youtubers making false claims and all that.

People should stick to sites; anandtech, i forgot that one too. Much better.
