Ready, Set - Steam Summer Sale Kicking Off Today

(UPDATE: And It's On!)

This years' Steam Summer Sale is kicking off today, as per the one-month-old leak - and warning - we gave our users. I hope you either finished your spending plans; are finalizing them as we speak; or are fortunate enough not to have to plan your spending in these trying, tempting times. Either way, be ready for increased lists of waiting games starting at 5 pm UTC, 10 am PDT (and 6 pm on my own little corner of Europe, Portugal).

The sale starts at 17:00 UTC.

(In future, @Raevenlord, please give us the UTC time and not your local time... or Yankee time.)

Steam sales dictate that I increase my TotalSpend. I can't resist.

I only bought Spintires: MudRunner for $2.99 (90% off) for me and my nephew...then someone realized the mistake and corrected it to $17.99 (40% off). Skimmed through the rest of my list and I really don't see any bargains on there. Spent more during the GOG sale (those free games with purchase!) than I am at Steam. Publishers are too wise to Valve's tactics now. They don't fall for it anymore.

Welp, just the major DLCs I don't have for the Paradox games I play (Stellaris, Crusader Kings 2 and Europa Universalis 4) are over €90 in total. I can afford it, but I'm not sure I want to. Add Torment and some smaller indie game and I'm well over €120. It's just ... a lot of money for it.

I missed the MOO remake when it was new; 16 hrs in, quite fun. I'll most likely pick up the additional races DLC.

Also grabbed the Rise of the Triad remake for cheap, but unlike MOO:CTS it's not a clear improvement over the original.
