I am not sure how i managed it, or what happened im a bit perplexed by it, but when i unscrewed one of the plugs on the G1/4 and put in a fitting it started to leak at the base of it from the top and and drop down to the bottom, i removed the fitting and put in the plug again and it is now perm leaking, even if i tightened it in all the way it will go it still leaks, does anyone have any experience in repairing it? or what materiel's that are safe to repair it with? It doesnt matter if i have to perma seal it, as i have 3-4 other ports to choose from.

Not sure what's actually leaking, is it a plug like this one ? And you say it's leaking ?

These should have a gasket on them, it's black and you might have missed it, maybe it's leaking because it doesn't have a gasket.

Not unless all 5 plugs are leaking and I’ve tested the same plugs in the other 5 holes on the bottom like a ring around the Rosie type of deal none of them leaked with any of the plugs and/or fittings it only leaks in that one hole and it only started leaking after I removed the plug from it and put a fitting in. One sec I’ll get a picture. I tried sealing it once already around the outside of one of the plugs to no avail I’m probably not doing it right so mind the not so clean sheen of the radiator around the g1/4 plug

Return the rad as defective. Reads like the threads are bad. A pic might help us visualize it. You might be able to put a sealant in the threads maybe plumbers tape etc, but you should not have to resort to this. And using tape will eventually mean pieces of it tear loose and will only end up in the fins of your blocks.

They probably won’t take it now that I tried sealing it myself the coating is sort of destroyed around the hole I didn’t even know it was possible to warranty a radiator u_u.

Probably should have asked first -sighs-

Here you go

Like I said it’s prettty scuffed after I tried to seal it, followed some directions I found on how to do it but it didn’t work so getting the gunk off after I did it was almost impossible

Next time don't slather stuff on the rad, it only hides possible cracks or leaks in the brazing. The "flat" of the port needs to be well flat. Try sanding it flat so the o-ring can make a seal?

If there was a leak etc etc, you could have filled it with solder etc but not sure now with that stuff all over.

If I look at the close-up picture, can be damaged thread, cracked soldering joint but it looks like shit

Try to carefully sand the area aroung the connection to get a good view. Take care of nothing getting into the rad.

Wouldn’t surprise me if it was cracked -sighs- I’ll probably just buy a new one then, I don’t think it’s salvageable now -sighs-

didn’t exssxtly slather it I layered it around the plug to seal it and it sort of didn’t stay like it was supposed to I must have screwed up something somewhere cause it just layered it self out from the plug like.. a cake when it drops sort of idea. And cause I wasn’t like insesebtially watching it it dried like that and was like omg fgs I screwed up u_u

yup, replacement looks like the quickest and best option.

Also make sure when you have a new rad the connection of the hose/tube is without tension, it can really make the difference and be the cause of your problem.

Just buy another rad at this point. If it leaks, check gaskets/fittings, if there is nothing wrong with them then return it.

What sort of glue did you pour on it? Can you get it off again including the paint and clean it to the bare metal/solder?
